What is the DPF Off + EGR Off Combo?

The DPF Off + EGR Off combo is our most popular diesel ECU file service, combining two essential modifications into a single discounted package. This service disables both the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regeneration strategy and the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system in your engine control unit. Together, these modifications address the two most common sources of reliability issues, performance loss, and increased maintenance costs on modern diesel engines.

By ordering both services together, you save compared to purchasing each modification separately — and you only need to send your file once. We deliver a single modified file with both DPF and EGR disabled, ready to flash back to your ECU.

Why Combine DPF Off and EGR Off?

The DPF and EGR systems are closely linked in modern diesel engine management. The EGR valve recirculates exhaust gases back into the intake manifold to reduce NOx emissions, but this introduces soot and carbon deposits into the intake tract, turbo, and engine internals. The DPF then captures the soot from the exhaust, requiring periodic regeneration cycles that increase fuel consumption and engine oil dilution.

Disabling one system without the other often provides incomplete results. With EGR still active, the engine continues to ingest soot-laden exhaust gases even after DPF removal. With DPF still active but EGR disabled, the filter may regenerate less frequently but still imposes exhaust backpressure. The combination of both modifications delivers the full benefit: clean intake air, unrestricted exhaust flow, and no regeneration cycles.
